Tara Abraham started her passion as a Brand Manager for Biolage Haircare at Bristol Myers Squibb and a Brand Manager as well as an Assistant Buyer of Fine and Home Fragrances for Bath & Body Works. She successfully expanded business by 200% with an increase of 1000 products in just two years! In 1995, Tara founded Accel, Inc. As Chairman and Co-CEO of Accel Inc., Tara Abraham is one of the nation’s leading experts in contract packaging and specializes in meeting the demanding standards of Fortune 500 clients in the cosmetics and beauty space. Such clients include: Berkshire Hathaway, Cardinal Health, Honeywell, Tween Brands and LBrands. Accel is home to a 517,000 sq. ft. facility where over 575 million units are moved annually and staffs over 1100 associates at peak season.  

Tara is also co-owner of LGS Ohio a three year 25 million temporary staffing agency. Tara is an investor in the food & beverage, personal care, real estate and technology sectors. In recognition of her effectiveness as an industry leader and business owner, Tara sits on the Board of Directors of Peoples Bancorp, Inc. and its subsidiary, Peoples Bank (Nasdaq PEBO) since 2012. She serves as a member of Peoples’ Audit, Risk, Trust and Foundation Committees. In the past, Tara has served on the board of the American Red Cross of Greater Columbus, the Ohio State University College of Education/Human Ecology Advisory Board, and the Capital Campaign for Ohio Health’s Kobacker Hospice Board, and St. Stephen’s Community House. She is a founding member of The American Red Cross Tiffany Circle. Currently an active member of the American Heart Association’s Circle of Red and Cor Vitae Societies. Tara sits on the board of the United Way of Central Ohio. 

Tara has for many years been a dedicated supporter of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). During her tenure, Tara served on the WBENC Board of Directors and as Chair of the WBENC Women’s Enterprise Leadership Forum. WBENC appointed Tara to the National Women’s Business Council from 2011-2014. This council reports to the President of the United States, U.S. Congress and the Small Business Administration on women’s issues and policies. Tara is a past chapter chair of the Young Presidents Organization and is a member of the Women Presidents Organization and the New Albany Chamber of Commerce. 

Tara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising with an emphasis in Marketing from The Ohio State University.
